ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has filed a review petition against his conviction in contempt of court case in NRO implementation, Geo News reported.
Seven-judge SC bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk on April 26, 2012 had convicted Gilani till end of court proceedings in NRO implementation case.
Meanwhile, on June 19 last year, three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had disqualified him from NA seat. Gilani had contacted the court against disqualification, however, he had not challenged his conviction.
Two days back, the Supreme Court granted a week to Yousuf Raza Gilani to file a review petition against his own conviction.
