Around 86.13 million voters registered in electoral rolls: ECP
ISLAMABAD: Around 86.13 million voters have been registered in the electoral rolls being compiled by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

According to the official statistic issued by the ECP, till March 20, in total 86,132,751 voters have been registered including 37,560,654 female and 48,572,097 male.

Among the registered voters, 3,349,159 voters have been registered in Balochistan comprising 1,424,757 female and 1,924,402 male.

In Federally Administered Tribal Areas, 1,751,255 voters have been enrolled including 597,881 female and 1,153,374 male.

Out of 12,334,987 voters registered in KPK province, around 5,276,483 are female and 7,058,504 male. In Punjab, 49,356,022 voters have been registered including 21,589,839 women and 27,766,183 men.

In Sindh, 18,719,601 voters have been registered that included 8,385,137 women and 10,334,464 men.

Among the 621,727 voters registered in federal area, 286,557 are female and 335,170 male.

To a question he said that people could even register their vote till the announcement of election schedule.

According to the ECP official, people can confirm their vote registration just simply sending SMS to 8300.

If anyone’s vote is not registered, the sender would receive name and contact number of the official concerned who could be approached for vote registration.

The official said vote could be registered by filing one page form along with photo copy of national identity card.
