LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F)’s Islam Zindabad Conference to be held at Minar-e-Pakistan would be a rare show of strength Sunday here, Geo News reported.
Thousands of chairs have been lined up at the sprawling Minar-e-Pakistan ground, where a mammoth crowd is expected to hear their leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
Strict security arrangements have been made at and around the venue. Three walkthrough gates have been erected out of which one is reserved for the leaders’ of JUI-F. Some two thousand five hundred policemen and five thousand JUI-F’s volunteers would be deployed for outside and within the rally venue security.
Cellular phone and V-phone services at Ravi Road, Karim Park, Minar-e-Pakistan, Karim Adda, Badami Bagh and adjoining areas will remain suspended from 10. A.M. Sunday morning to 10 P.M in the night as advised by the Lahore district administration for security reasons.
