Two kidnappers killed, child recovered from Baldia Town

KARACHI: Police raided Ittehad Town area in Baldia Town and killed two kidnappers after an encounter and recovered a child held hostage by the latter Saturday, Geo News reported.

According to SSP Niaz Khoso, a six-year-old child had been abducted on March 22 and the kidnappers had demanded Rs 20 million as ransom. Police raided the Ittehad Town area and after exchanging fire with the accused, recovered the child while two kidnappers were also killed.

Two other accused managed to escape from the site while the security forces have cordoned off the area and searching for the other two culprits.

Two Kalashnikovs and a pistol were also recovered from the kidnappers who were killed in the encounter. Both were the members of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, the SSP informed.
