Proclaimed offenders among 20 copped in Karachi

KARACHI: The police, in a bid to make the citizens feel safe, the Karachi East police have booked at least 20 suspects, Geo News reported.

Senior Superintendent of Police East, Imran Shaukat said the suspected offenders were nailed down in the surgical operation carried out in certain seedy parts of metropolis.

Giving details he said the raid had been fruitful in terms of the fact that a proclaimed offenders namely, Faisal aka Dacoit, Waseem aka Bihari, and an accomplice, Mohammad Saleem landed in the lock-up. The felons were wanted for murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, etc.

The police recovered also three AK-47 assault rifles, 18 cabibre 0.30 pistols, hundreds of rounds, and stolen motorcycles.
