Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology founder Z.A. Nizami passes away

KARACHI: The founder of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), Z. A. Nizami died here, Geo News reported Sunday morning.

Engr Z.A Nizami was acclaimed as one of the leading educationists of the country having immortalized himself by establishing the engineering university, which soon made its name across the academic world.

He has also served as Director General of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Additional Secretary, Government of Pakistan, and Advisor/Consultant to the World Bank.

He also remained President of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association, Governing Body Chairman of Aligarh Institute of Technology, Chairman, Board of Governors, Fahimun-Nisa Aligarh Institute of Technology for Girls.
