ECP issues fresh directives relating to May 11 general elections
ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Sunday put a bar on the candidates for general elections seeking votes in the name of religion or sectarianism, Geo News reported.

In a fresh directives issued here, ECP has prohibited candidates in May 11 general elections seeking votes in the name of religion or sectarianism.

Driving out the voters to the polling stations has been declared a crime.

Providing free of cost facility of transport including vehicles and boats would be punishable act.

Canvassing within the perimeter of 400 yards from the polling stations and taking out the ballot paper from the polling booth have also been declared a punishable crime in the directives issued here by ECP.
