Nawaz Sharif satisfied with ISI honcho

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif seems satisfied with Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam, chief of the country’s powerful spy service, the directorate of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), so far, although he is critical of ex-spymaster Lieutenant General (retd)Ahmed Shuja Pasha.

Speaking at Geo News program Jirga hosted by Saleem Safi, Mian Nawaz Sharif said that whatever Gen Pasha did was not acceptable, however there was no complaint against General Zaheerul Islam so far.

Mr Sharif said incumbent military leadership was not responsible for what Pervez Musharraf did in his tenure.
