21 suspects held during targeted operation in Karachi

KARACHI: The rangers carried out targeted operation in various areas of the city and detained 21 persons and recovered arms in the wee hours of Tuesday, Geo News reported.

According to security sources, Rangers carried out a targeted operation in Banaras area and held ten suspects, and recovered weapons.

Operation was also carried out in areas surrounding Super Highway and the forces detained eleven suspects while recovering weapons from their possession.

The operation was carried out in Bismillah market’s shops, godowns, hotels and flats after receiving secret information from intelligence agencies.

The sources said that eleven suspects were apprehended during the operation while nineteen different weapons were also recovered from their possession, it added.

On the other hand, police is conducting search operation in Bilal Colony and Mehran Town areas of Korangi. SSP East Imran Shaukat told that police commandos and female perosonnel are also taking part in the action.

The entry and exit points of the area were sealed during the search operation.
