LHC allows Aslam Mudhyana to contest polls

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday allowed former member of provincial assembly Aslam Mudhyana to contest forthcoming elections, Geo News reported.

Aslam Mudhyana had been declared ineligible by returning officer and election tribunal. He had filed a petition against his ineligibility in LHC full bench.

Aslam Mudhyana stated in the court that all cases against him were lodged on political basis, adding that he was not convicted in any case.

Meanwhile, the full bench of LHC also allowed Rana Farooq Saeed, candidate for NA-79 and PP-59 for contesting polls. He was blamed of being a defaulter.
