LAHORE: A petition has been filed in Supreme Court (SC) Lahore registry to convert the death sentences of 120 convicts including Indian spy Sarabjit Singh into life imprisonment and release them, Geo News reported Monday.
The petitioner Barrister Zafarullah stated in the petition that 120 prisoners including Sarabjit Singh have completed their life sentence, while their death penalties had been suspended for last 15 years.
Urging the honorable court to release those 120 prisoners, Barrister Zafarullah said that according to laws, a man couldn’t be sentenced twice for the same crime.
