KARACHI: Former cricketers and renowned names Moin Khan, Mickey Arthur and Paddy Upton have been picked by different franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as head coaches of their respective teams.

Moin Khan, who is Pakistan's former manager, coach, chief selector and captain, has been picked as head coach by PSL Quetta team.

"Yes, we have picked Moin as the head coach for team Quetta and looking to take England’s Ian Pont on our coaching panel as well," said an official of Quetta team.

Owners of PSL Karachi team have also announced appointing South Africa's Mickey Arthur as team's head coach and Pakistan's Mushtaq Ahmed as Arthur's deputy.

A source in PSL has confirmed that owners of PSL team Karachi and Mickey Arthur have already reached an agreement over his appointment.

PSL team Lahore, which is being named as "Lahore Qalandar" for the event, has picked South African Paddy Upton as team's head coach.

Paddy was also the head coach of Rajasthan Royal's team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Meanwhile, the Peshawar team has announced former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Akram as its head coach.
