KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to extend polling time at the NA-250, a Karachi constituency for the National Assembly.
PTI candidate and senior leader Dr Arif Alvi criticized the Pakistan army and Rangers for not providing adequate security.
Army didn’t reach in five hours, let alone five minutes, he said and demanded the army and Rangers to deploy the troops.
Alvi made it clear that the PTI would not boycott the election like other parties and would appeal to the people to come out of their houses and cast their votes.
The PTI candidate said that the MQM workers tortured his party candidates, adding that all options for the party were opened if its demands were not met.
He said that the election symbols of other parties were missing on ballot papers except the MQM.
