Karachi: Several arrested during search operation in Landhi

KARACHI: Police kicked off a search operation in Landhi area of Karachi Monday and detained several suspects, Geo News reported.

According to police, search operation was initiated in Landhi no.6 and adjoining areas after news of clashes between two groups for the past many days. Several suspects were apprehended while arms including two LMG and ten Kalashnikovs were also recovered.

It may be mentioned that situation in the mentioned area is still volatile and a candidate for provincial seat was also gunned down on May 10 in the same area.

Earlier, two persons were injured in firing that took place in Majeed Colony area of Landhi.

Police told that two groups were having clashes for the past many days in Landhi no.6 and tension had gripped the area due to the on-going battle.
