KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) leader Senator Raza Rabbani said on Friday that some forces do not want completion of Iran-Pakistan gas project, adding that it is one of the major factors for what PPP’s path was blocked to come into power, Geo News reported.
Speaking to a news conference, Senator Rabbani said that the region would face the negative affects if Gwadar port hand over to Chinese company and Pak-Iran gas pipeline projects shunned. He said that the current power crisis in the country was worse than before.
Calling on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to take measures for the completion of Pak-Iran gas line, he claimed that Pak-Iran pipeline project was being delayed.
Terming drone strikes as the violation of the state's sovereignty, Mr. Rabbani asked PML-N to clear its position on drone attacks. He said that US and UK ambassadors' activities after general elections showed that they still considered themselves viceroys but they are not.
