LAHORE/SIALKOT: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) officials busted two attempts to smuggle heroin from Lahore and Sialkot airports and arrested three accused including a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) worker, Geo News reported Friday.
According to the ANF sources, a man named Masood who is the resident of Sahiwal and a CAA employee, Nasir were carrying more than two kilograms of heroin. They were about to board a Qatar-bound flight when they were arrested at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. Nasir tried to walk away with heroin hidden in his shoes.
On the other hand, a passenger named Muhammad Mustafa was carrying heroin in shampoo bottles and wanted to catch Sharjah-bound flight when the security personnel at the Sialkot Airport held him on suspicion. Upon checking, the heroin filled shampoo bottles were recovered from his baggage.
The seized heroin worth ten million rupees, officials told.
The accused was handed over to ANF personnel for further investigation.
