SC orders authorities to stop construction work at Karachi park

KARACHI The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday ordered immediate halt to construction work being carried out at the Baloch Park in a case pertaining to encroachments.

A three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwa Zaheer Jamali was hearing the case.

The apex court suspended arrest warrants for Administrator Karachi Hashim Raza Zaidi after he submitted apology. He admitted that A notice was sent to his office but his staff didn’t inform him.

The court ordered him to file a report regarding construction at Baloch Park within a week.
