Special security, traffic plan for Eid being implemented in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The implementation of the special security and traffic plan on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and in view of the critical law and order situation in the city has started here, Geo News reported on Sunday.

Under the Peshawar police security plan additional checkposts have been set up at different places in the city, while plain clothed policemen have also been deployed at crowded places and police patrol stepped up.

Some roads in Cantt and inside the city for specific duration have been closed for traffic, while a few of them have been declared one-way under the new traffic plan.

Peshawar Division Commissioner Shahebzada Mohammad Anis said that terror incidents on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr could not be ruled out.
