KARACHI: The value of US dollar against the rupee once again increased in the open market by Rs0.25, while in the inter-bank it made a new record on Monday, Geo News reported.
Forex dealers said that dollar in the open market was being sold at Rs103 as against Rs102.75 four days ago prior to Eid holidays.
The value of dollar in the inter-bank market also went up by Rs0.45 to peg at a new record of Rs102.75.
Pakistan has paid back $145 million IMF loan before Eid, which triggered severe pressure on the rupee on resumption of trading on Monday after four consecutive days of Eid holidays, dealers further said.
