ISLAMABAD: Four of the power stations of WAPDA have gone out of order after developing a technical fault, increasing the electricity shortfall by 805 mega watts, Geo News reported Sunday.
According to a spokesman of Water and Power Ministry, the above power stations include Muzaffar Garh unit-4 which was generating 250 MW electricity; Uch 185 MW; Liberty power 200 MW and; the unit at Jamshoro was producing 170 MW power.
The increase in shortfall has further prolonged the duration of power load shedding across the country.
The spokesman also said that efforts were afoot to get the tripped power stations running again so that the increase in shortfall could be reversed at the earliest.
