Rangers, police arrest 43 in Karachi raids

KARACHI: The Rangers and police rounded-up several alleged criminals during operations in various parts of the metropolis, recovering weapons of different calibers, Geo News reported Friday.

According to Rangers, the paramilitary force surrounded the Baldia Town and conducted searches at several homes, arresting 30 alleged criminals including foreign nationals and recovering weapons.

In another raid, the Rangers detained 11 alleged gangsters from New Karachi and Surjani town. Weapons were also recovered from the possession of the accused. The arrested accused were said to be involved in crimes including target killing and extortion.

Moreover, the police conducted raid in Alfalah Band area of Sharafi Goth and arrested two extortionists. Hand grenade and weapons were also seized from the possession of the accused.
