Nisar Gul, resident of south district Karak, had won first election in 2002 on the ticket of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He had been the minister for prison in the previous tenure, however, before the general elections, Nisar reigned from the Awami National Party (ANP) and contested the polls as independent candidate.
Mr. Gul announced joining the JUI-F in the presence of Moulana Fazl-ur-Rehman and Akram Khan Durrani.
