American intervention in Syria unacceptable: Munawar Hasan
KARACHI: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Munawar Hasan Sunday said that American intervention in Syaria was unacceptable, Geo News reported.

“Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Shairf, who came to power after making lofty promises, should not drag feet in taking key decisions”, said he addressing a big rally to express solidarity with the people of Egypt and Syria.

He said that US threats would not work anymore as the teachings of Quran and Sunnah were reviving in Muslim world.

He said that the western countries had been pursuing their double-standard policy with regard to democratic mandate of Islamic parties but the current wave of political awareness in the Muslim word was irreversible.

He said the western world had played a shameful role in sabotaging democracy in Egypt, Palestine and Algeria.

Hasan alleged that the USA wanted to devastate Syria like Iraq.

However, the silver lining of this dark cloud was that the political awareness in the Muslim world following the Arab Spring was irreversible.

He said this huge rally in Karachi was proof that political awareness was on the rise in whole Ummah and it could not be suppressed.

He said all Muslims were with their Syrian brothers and Syria could not be pushed against the wall. He said the mandate of the people of Egypt was robbed in the broad daylight.

He lauded Turkey for its principled stand on Egypt and Syrian issues.

Talking on recent general elections in Pakistan, he claimed that the people were robbed of their real mandate in the polls.

JI leader added the same people who were vowing to break the begging bowl did exactly the opposite after coming to power.

He congratulated the people of Egypt and Syria for their heroic struggle against the imperialist forces and assured them the people of Karachi as well as whole Pakistan fully back their just struggle.

On the occasion, thousands of protestors including women marched from the Mazar-e-Quaid to Tibet Center on M A Jinnah Road to express solidarity with the people of Egypt and Syria.
