US plans to attack Syria for own interests: JUI-F

CHARSADDA: Central Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Sunday said the US was planning to launch an offensive against Syria in a selfish pursuit of its own interests.

“The US earlier attacked Iraq and Libya by accusing them of possessing chemical weapons. But, the accusation were later proved false and now the US wants to attack Syria for attaining its own interest,” Fazl maintained while talking to mediamen here.

He said the US President Barack Obama appears to be helpless before some organizations that do not respect the public opinion. “Obama is in selfish pursuit of the interests of his country even if it eventually results in quashing of the interests of the rest of the world,” he continued.

Replying to a question, Fazl-ur-Rehman said Pakistan Muslim League-N believes in a process of dialogue and welcomed the Federal government’s adoption of the course of negotiations. “In this connection, Jamat-e-Islami (Fazl) will stand by the Federal government,” he added.
