KARACHI: During an early morning targeted operation, Rangers personnel arrested six workers belonging to a religious party from Garden area of Karachi, Geo News reported Thursday.
According to the sources, Rangers initiated a search operation in Ramswami area of Garden today morning and arrested six persons, belonging to a religious party. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
The sources told that the held individuals are involved in targeted killings and extortion crimes.
Earlier, Sindh Rangers’ spokesman told that midnight operation was conducted in several areas including Landhi, Guliastan-e-Johar, PNT Colony, Liaquatabad, Apsara Apartments, Mawach Goth and Lyari. During the action, 34 accused were arrested who were involved in extortion, Lyari gang war and other heinous crimes.
The spokesman further added that different types of weapons and hand grenades were also seized during the raids.
