RATODERO: A long standing blood feud Tuesday claimed the lives of at least nine people in Kasho area of Warah --sub-division of Kambar-Shahdadkot district, Geo News reported
According to details the tragedy struck when two heavily armed groups of Chandio tribe clashed over the ownership of land on late Tuesday evening in Ashiq Ji Tukkri village.
The gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on each other piling up casualties on both sides within no time. Nine people were reportedly killed and four more were injured in the shootout, which was far from over by the time of filing this report.
The incident took place within the limits of Deenar Buriro police station.
According to reports, three of the victims were real brothers.
The dead include Ali Jan, Tufail, Manzoor, Rasul Bux, Mubeen, Akhtiar, Taj and others.
The police said that the dead bodies were still lying in the area as they could not be removed.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kambar, Ghulam Sarwar Abbro, additional police as well as armoured personnel carriers had been dispatched to the restive area to bring the situation under control.
Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has taken notice of the incident and directed Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Larkana to do whatever he can to make sure that law and order prevails in the district.
