Sindh government notifies 'Sujawal' as district
KARACHI: The Government of Sindh has granted “Sujawal” the status of a district and after the approval of Chief Minister Sindh, a notification has been issued by Revenue Department in this regard.

The new district would comprise Sujawal, Kharochan, Mirpur Bathoro, Jaati and Shah Bander talukas, while district Thatta would have talukas of Thatta, Mirpur Sakro, Ketibander and Ghorabari.

Now Sindh Province has 28 districts.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Owais Muzaffar has congratulated the people of Sujawal district on fulfillment of their demand. He said that present democratic government would serve the masses at all costs.

Muzaffar further said that many development projects for the welfare of masses were in pipeline.

It is pertinent to mention here that creation of Sujawal district was a long-standing demand of locals as they were facing hardships in solution to their problems. (PPI)
