ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has dubbed the US drone attack that killed Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud as a conspiracy to sabotage efforts to hold peace talks with the insurgents.
Responding over the assault, Imran said that the US drone strike showed who was against the government efforts to hold dialogues with the Taliban.
He said that the government had officially informed that a delegation was going to hold peace talks with the Taliban, adding that the attack on the occasion was aimed to spread anarchy in the country.
“The Taliban had denied their involvement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa blasts and today it is also proved that who was behind those explosions.”
The PTI chairman further said that the assault would damage the Pakistan's relationship with the US.
“We would bring a resolution condemning drone attacks in the assembly,” he said.
