PM Sharif to lay foundation stone for nuclear power project

KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will on Tuesday lay the foundation stone for 2117 megawatt civil nuclear power project being built with the assistance of China here in Karachi, Geo News reported Monday.

Official sources told Geo News that the Premier will arrive on a one-day trip to Karachi on Tuesday.

During his visit to the provincial capital, PM Sharif will formally inaugurate the work for the civil atomic power project being set up with the cooperation of China.

It is expected that the provincial administration and law enforcers will brief the Prime Minister about the third phase of the ongoing crackdown against the criminal elements in Karachi.
