Dense fog hits several cities of Southern Punjab, KPK
LAHORE: Several cities of Southern Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhaw remained in the grip of foggy weather on Wednesday, hampering the normal routine life as less-visibility caused slowing down of vehicular movement besides closure of Allama Iqbal International Airport and Motorway at several places, Geo News reported.

While the flight operation at Multan Airport has been restored after the fog thinned out late this morning and the visibility improved to 500 meters. However, the visibility on Motorway from Kasuwal to Multan being zero still remains closed for all sorts of traffic.

While the life in Lahore remains almost paralysed as the city and its surrounding areas remained blanketed by the dense fog and the visibility turned zilch causing the closure of all sort of traffics including the Allama Iqbal Airport here. Railway schedules have also been badly affected.

The foggy weather also disturbed routine life in Faisalabad and Gujranawala, as the blanket of fogs started thickening since yesterday evening with the visibility getting almost blurred causing closure of Motorway and all sorts of vehicular traffic.

The situation in Peshawar was no better as Motorway had to be closed up to Swabi due to no visibility at all, while from Peshawar up to Nowshera Rushkai also hit by the thick fog.
