KARACHI: The Rangers carried out targeted operation in various areas of the metropolis, arresting 37 accused including an activist of a banned outfit.
According to the Rangers spokesman, an accused involved in various crimes was arrested from Lyari area.
Meanwhile, the Rangers also arrested a worker of the prohibited organization Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Truck stand in Maripur area. The accused is identified as Ramazan alias Ramzu.
The spokesman said that the government had put Rs 5 lakh bounty on the accused.
The Rangers also conducted raids in New Karachi, F B Area, Manghopir, Fareed Colony, Banaras, Chanesar Goth, Lines Area and Salar Compound among various areas of Lyari in which 37 accused were arrested.
A huge amount of weapons including SMGs, rifles and rocket launchers were also recovered from the possession of the accused, the Rangers spokesman added.
