Aerial firing injures 10 on New Year eve
KARACHI: At least 10 people including a woman sustained injuries as aerial firing broke out in the city on New Year’s eve, Geo News reported.

Despite of strict security measures taken by the government in Karachi, heavy aerial firing rocked various parts of the metropolis.

The aerial firing broke out in Kharadar, Meethadar, Akhtar colony, Papochnagar, Gul Bahar, Qayyumabad and Netty Jetty.

Meanwhile, police have arrested eight accused on the charges of aerial firing. Police said four were arrested from Mehmoodabad and Clifton while four others from North Nazimabad.

Earlier, police closed several roads leading to Clifton after which hundreds of vehicles struck in massive traffic jam on main thoroughfares of the city.

Sindh Government had also put ban on pillion riding and carrying licensed weapons.
