HYDERABAD: Dozens of hand grenade/cracker attacks rocked cities across Sindh here on Friday, Geo News reported.

Of 37 such assaults, six were reported from Karachi, five Hyderabad, seven Dadu, two Larkana, and one each from Naushero Feroze, Bhit Shah, Jamshoro, etc.

Only one minor casualty was reported from Dadu where a man was injured when unknown bikers hurled a grenade near Mallah Chowk.

It must be noted that a nationalist party, Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, has given a call for a province-wide strike to be observed tomorrow (Saturday).

Analysts suspect these attacks to be a typical pre-strike panicking tactics to ensure scared citizens stay at home for their own safety.

"In the eve of a strike, grenades/crackers are hurled, gunshots are fired, vehicles are set on fire, and roads are blocked so that people should know they are not supposed to leave homes the next day", said they.

According to sources, the police have made multiple arrests in this regard.
