FIR of Gagar Phatak railway track blast lodged

KARACHI: Police has registered the First Investigation Report (FIR) of yesterday’s blast at the railway track at Gagar Phatak targeting Shalimar Express train, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to SP Bin Qasim, Chaudhry Saifullah, the FIR (42/2014) was registered against unknown assailants at Steel Mills police station on behalf of Pakistan Railways.

The FIR was lodged under various sections including Anti-Terrorism and Explosives acts besides those relating to murder and injuries.

A girl lost her life while several others sustained injuries when three rail cars of Shalimar Express train derailed and overturned following a blast at Gagar Phattak railway track on Tuesday.
