IHC orders to supply gas to CNG outlets three days in week

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared null and void the decision of the government to suspend gas supply to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for indefinite period in Potohar region, Geo News reported.

The IHC was hearing CNG closure case here on Thursday. Justice Shaukat Aziz announced the verdict reserved in this case.

The court also approved all the pleas of pump owners in this regard.

In its verdict, the court restored previous schedule of gas suspension to CNG outlets in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and ordered the authorities concerned to provide gas to the pumps three days a week.

It also directed to take the matter to Council of Common Interests (CCI) within 90 days.
