PM takes notice of MQM concerns, orders Nisar to visit Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to undertake a visit to Karachi, following the former’s telephonic conversation with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan.

According to sources, the Premier directed the Interior Minister to immediately leave for Karachi to take stock of the ongoing targeted crackdown against the criminal elements, lend an ear to the concerns raised by Mutthaid Qaumi Movement (MQM) and report back to him.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad discussed the security situation across the Sindh province with particular focus on Karachi.
