Fed up with starvation, mother kills children in Lahore

LAHORE: A mother fed up with starvation, hunger and poverty allegedly killed her two children in Johar Town area on Wednesday here, Geo News reported.

Police said the accused strangulated her 8-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter to death.

The accused mother, a resident of E Block, Johar Town in her statement to the police said that her husband was an addict and continued starvation and hunger forced her to commit such an inhuman act of killing her own children.

The accused Bismah has been arrested and the bodies of the children sent to the hospital, police said.
