Police said that the bomb disposal unit reaching the scene defused the live hand grenade.
It may be recalled that the robbers had looted a total sum of Rs6 million from two local banks in the city yesterday, while as many as 10 banks have thus far been robbed in 2014. It seems bank robbery has become a profitable business in Karachi these days.
