ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Monday ordered for the constitution of a three-member inquiry committee headed by DIG and called for a comprehensive report from Punjab IG within ten days in the matter relating to the Muzaffargarh teenaged girl’s rape, self-immolation and death, Geo News reported.
SC three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tasadduq Hussain Jilani was hearing the suo motu case here.
During the hearing, Punjab IG told the court that five persons have given evidence relating to the Muzaffargarh girl rape committed, while a case has been registered against the SHO for negligence.
Supreme Court in remarks said that when police was present, why it led to the suicide. The girl was not satisfied with the attitude and investigation of the police.
