THE HAGUE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and German Chancellor Angela Merkel met on Tuesday and discussed the matters of mutual interest including bilateral trade.
Prime Minister Sharif termed the meeting “productive” that took place on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) here.
In an interaction with media persons following the meeting, the Prime Minister said he thanked the German Chancellor for her country’s support for Pakistan to get GSP Plus status.
The Prime Minister said the meeting also discussed Pakistan’s relations with India and Afghanistan. Merkel appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and contribution for ensuring peace in the region.
