DHAKA: Pakistan win convincingly against Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur in a group 2 match on Sunday.
Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to 140/7 winning this important fixture by 50 runs.
Pakistan looked in command from the start of the Bangladesh innings as none of the batsmen looked comfortable chasing such a stiff total.
There were hardly any mentionable partnership in the Bangladesh innings and except for Shakib Al Hasan who got 38 off 32 balls no one showed any sort of courage.
For Pakistan Umer Gul got 3/30 off his quota and Saeed Ajmal 2/20.
Earlier Pakistan had amazed 190/5 with Ahmed Shehzad becoming the first batsmen to get get to three figures in a T-20 international. Ahmed Shehzad ended with an unbeaten 111 off just 62 balls with 10x4s and 5 6s.
Ahmed Shehzad was later declared player of the match for his brilliant knock.
Pakistan play W-Indies on the 1st of April to decide who goes through to the semis.

DHAKA:Pakistan post a stiff total of 190 for Bangladesh to chase in an important group 2 match at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Sunday.
Pakistan got to this daunting total through a brilliant hundred by Ahmed Shehzad who finished unbeaten on 111 off 62 balls with 10x4s and 5 6s.
Shehzad became the first Pakistan batsmen to score a hundred in a T-20 internationals.
Pakistan lost a few quick wickets as the middle order failed again with last game’s hero Umer Akmal dismissed for a duck.
Shoib then accumulated a good 4th wicket partnership with Shehzad to set the stage for Shahid Afrid. Shoib scored 26 off 23 balls with 2 fours.
Shahid Afridi did not disappoint as he hammered 22 of just 9 balls with a four and 2x6s.
Bangladesh require 191 to win the game.

Pitch report: According to experts the wicket looks dry and is expected to turn as the game gets along, especially in the second innings. Any one winning the toss is expected to bat as it’s a day match and the dew factor wont be coming into play.
DHAKA: Pakistan will return to World Twenty20 action after a week’s break today charged up to make a move for the semi-finals by winning their two remaining games in the Super-10 round in Dhaka.
Pakistan must defeat hosts Bangladesh (the match to begin 2.30 P.M Pakistan time) and the defending champions West Indies on Tuesday to join India in the semi-finals from the group.
Pakistan team head coach Moin Khan said that the players would have to give their hundred percent performances, as if any relaxation could throw them out of the event.
Former captain Wasim Akram said that the green shirts’ come back in the event augurs well, but he advised the players not take lightly any of the opponents.
Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar was of the opinion that Pakistan if ever lose it would be due to its mistakes as there was no other team to defeat them. He urged them to play with courage.
Pakistan defeated Australia by 16 runs in its two matches, while Bangladesh has lost both of its matches against India and West Indies by big margins.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim said that his team has shown improvement in batting playing against India and the room for improvements still exists in several sections of the game.
Good news for Pakistan is that its most successful batman against Australia Umar Akmal is now completely fit after reported hamstring injury. Pakistan defeating Bangladesh today would face West Indies in the quarterfinal of the event on Tuesday and the victorious team would seal a place in the semifinal. Pakistan-West Indies match would also be the last league match of the ICC World T20.
India and West Indies playing three matches each holding first and second positions respectively in group-II.
