TTP rival groups’ clashes leave 40 killed in one month
MIRANSHAH: The differences between the rival groups of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has intensified leading to the fierce infighting for the last one month claiming more than 40 dead including key commanders, Geo News reported.

Sources said that the persons killed today could not be identified immediately, while during the last five days more than 20 militants have been killed in the clashes.

TTP sources said that the difference between the two groups triggered after Hakimullah Mehsud was droned to death, which compounded with the beginning of the TTP talks with the Pakistan government on the issues relating to the release of the Taliban prisoners, ceasefire and others.

Eyewitnesses said that intermittent skirmishes continuing between Hakimullah Mehsud and Waliur Rahman groups in Mehsud tribe areas of Lower Shaktoi, Upper Shaktoi and Bobar adjacent to North Waziristan. Over 20 militants including Kasheed Mehsud have been killed in last five days, while over 40 in the last one month.

Sources said that key commanders from different areas of Pakistan besides Afghanistan have arrived Waziristan to resolve the differences between different groups of TTP.
