Pakistan HC seeks FO response over Altaf NIC, passport

LONDON: The Pakistan High Commission in London has sought the opinion of Pakistan Foreign Office in connection with the application of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain for issuance of national ID card and renewal of green passport.

According to sources at London High Commission, the decision on issuing the NIC and passport will be made after getting the response from the Foreign Office.

The close aides of Altaf Hussain have been in contact with the Pakistan High Commission, the sources added.

The sources further disclosed that a formal request had not yet been received from Altaf Hussain for issuance of NIC and passport nor had any documents been submitted with the Pakistan High Commission.
