PEMRA meeting summoned on May 27

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has been summoned on May 27, Geo News reported.

The decision to convene meeting was taken after legal opinion from ministry of law.

The notification for attending the meeting has been dispatched to all members.

The meeting will deliberate on the opinion sent by law ministry to information ministry over the case of Geo Television and Karachi Council of Complaints.

Sources said the issue of show-cause notice to three private members would also come under consideration during the meeting.
