Govt denies reports on Altaf passport, ID card

ISLAMABAD: The federal government had denied media reports that Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Altaf Hussain has been issued Pakistani passport and identity card.

A spokesman for the government said on Thursday that Information Minister Pervez Rashid had said it was decided in principle that the passport and the ID card would be issued to the MQM chief.
