One killed in firing on PIA plane in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: A female passenger was killed and two flight stewards injured when a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane was fired at the Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar.

PIA flight PK-756 arriving from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was approaching for landing when armed men opened fire. There were 178 passengers on board the plane which was also damaged in the attack.

According to officials a search operation has been started in areas surrounding the airport following the attack.

A PIA official said a female passenger and two flight stewards were injured in the firing incident and rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The female passenger succumbed to her injuries later.

Peshawar airport and surrounding areas have been cordoned off by law enforcement agencies.
