KARACHI: The toll in different violent incidents across the metropolis has increased to seven after two bullet-riddled bodies were found near Kati Pahari area in Orangi Town, Geo News reported on Monday.
According to police, two bodies bearing bullet wounds were found near Kati Pahari and were identified as Jaffar and Kashif.
Earlier, four persons were critically injured when unknown gunmen open fired on a shop in Hussainabad area of the city. The injured were taken to a hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries. The victims were identified as Fida Hussain, 35 and Zeeshan, 30.
The injured were identified as Akhtar Hussain aged 25 and Mumtaz. One of the victims Fida Hussain and the injured belonged to Gilgit.
SSP Muqaddas Haider told Geo News that the attacked bakery was targeted two years ago as well during which a man was killed.
He further told that the incident could be a result of target killing.
On the other hand, a man was killed and another injured when unidentified persons opened fire in Landhi area. The victim was identified as Hakeem.
A body of a girl was found from Surjani Town sector 7 while a body of a woman was recovered near a railway station in Bin Qasim. A man was also injured in firing incident that took place in Ayub Goth.
