NEW DEHLI: An Indian man attacked the prayer leader of historic Shahi Mosque Imam Ahmed Shah Bukhari on Sunday in New Delhi, the Indian media reported.
According to the report, the accused first threw a bottle filled with kerosene on the Imam and later was igniting a lighter to burn him when guards of the Imam apprehended the culprit.
The Imam of the mosque remained safe and sound, the report clarified. The report said the attacker, who belonged to Western Bengal, was handed over to the police.
