MUZAFFARGARH: Khadim Hussain, father of a man who was shot dead by police three months ago, on Tuesday accused law enforcers of staging a fake encounter to kill his son.
He told media at the Multan Press Club that he is in possession of a video which shows his son, Mulazim Hussain, was shot in the leg when he was fishing at a river. Then the injued Hussain, he said, was dragged to the other bank of the river where more shots were fired at him to take his life.
Khadim Hussain claimed that policemen could be seen making video of the incident with their mobile phones while his bullet-riddled son laid there in pain just before breating his last.
However, the police had claimed three months ago that the suspect was accused of killing three people besides another crime of stealing cattle. Police said that Mulazim Hussain was shot dead as a result of an exchange of fire.
