LAHORE: Chairman of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Anwar Baig has resigned from his post. He had tendered his resignation to the P rime Minister which was duly accepted.
According to sources, Baig apprised the prime minister regarding bureaucratic interference in fund distribution as well as hurdles created in the path of introducing an 'online checking' mechanism.
Following his resignation, Anwar Baig was offered to serve as Chairman Industrial Development Corporation, which he has accepted.
